NEWS & OFFERS · TERMS VERIFIED OCTOBER 17, 2026

The Spirit Halloween Amex Offer can reduce the cost of a costume or decorations you already plan to buy. It is available only on selected eligible cards, so seeing the promotion in a public article does not mean it has been added to your account.1

The official offer covers eligible direct purchases at U.S. Spirit Halloween locations and spirithalloween.com in U.S. dollars. Third-party sellers and purchases shipped outside the U.S. are excluded. Check the complete terms displayed on your card for all restrictions.1

Why this is not 20% back on everything

$15 divided by $75 is 20%, so the credit equals 20% of an exactly $75 qualifying purchase total. But the credit is capped at $15. On $100, the effective reduction is 15%; on $150, it is 10%. Those percentages describe this fixed credit, not an uncapped category earning rate.

Do not buy an extra item just to reach the threshold without comparing the total cost. If you planned to spend $60, adding $15 of goods to receive a $15 credit leaves you spending the same $60 net, assuming every purchase qualifies and the credit posts. That can be useful if you wanted the extra goods; it is not an additional $15 of cash savings.

Use the direct merchant and leave processing time

Start by confirming that the offer appears on your account and saving the terms. Then use the enrolled card directly with the eligible merchant. An order placed through another marketplace may not be recognized as a qualifying Spirit Halloween transaction.

For online orders, pay attention to when the merchant actually submits the charge. Ordering on the last evening is a poor plan if billing happens at shipment. The public deadline specifies the date; do not assume a particular midnight time zone or a grace period.

Watch the final eligible total

A cancellation or return can reduce the amount that qualifies. Keep the receipt and compare the posted transaction with your saved offer. If your total is very close to the threshold, do not count an unprocessed authorization as a completed purchase.

For example, two eligible posted purchases of $40 and $35 would total $75 under a one-or-more-purchases offer. If $10 is later refunded, the remaining $65 no longer supports that threshold. This is a hypothetical tracking example, not a promise about a specific account’s credit timing.

Who should use it?

This is most useful for an enrolled cardholder who was already going to spend at least $75 directly with Spirit Halloween. Compare the merchant’s final price with alternatives and use the credit as a discount on planned spending.

  • Verify eligibility and enroll before paying.
  • Use the same enrolled card for all qualifying purchases.
  • Keep direct-merchant receipts and allow time before October 31.
  • Check for the statement credit under the timing stated in your saved offer.
  • After October 31, mark this promotion expired rather than presenting it as available.
