CardTuned explains credit cards through independent editorial research. This page describes how advertising and affiliate compensation may work.
How compensation may work
Some links or placements may be part of an advertising or affiliate arrangement. If a page contains a compensated link or placement, we identify that relationship on the relevant page. Compensation may depend on a click, an application, an approval, or another agreed action. A link to an issuer does not by itself mean CardTuned is paid.
How we label compensated links
When a link is part of a paid placement or affiliate arrangement, we label that relationship near the link and mark the link with rel="sponsored". Ordinary editorial links to issuer terms or other sources are not automatically sponsored. If a relationship changes, we review the affected links and disclosure before publishing the change.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions, the drawbacks we describe, or the suitability of a card for a reader’s stated use case. We explain relevant fees, caps, exclusions, and trade-offs even when discussing a card with a commercial relationship.
Coverage and rankings
CardTuned does not cover every credit card, issuer, or available offer. The cards appearing in an article depend on its topic and our research at the time. Rankings and comparisons should be read together with the criteria and limitations explained in that article.
Offers can change
Issuers can change offers, fees, rewards, benefits, and eligibility requirements. Check the issuer’s current terms before applying.
